hello

Word from APA chairman

If there’s ever been a challenging period in this decade post the 2008 global economic recession, it is arguably the current health pandemic we are currently facing which has not only had an impact on our social life but also greatly affected the foundation of our industry.

Though the current impact of Covid-19 has been felt especially hard, it also affords us an opportunity to re-think our business offering / modus-operandi with the view of ensuring that as we move through the “New Normal” we’ve equipped ourselves with the relevant knowledge and skills for greater relevance and impact.

In the words of Charles DarwinIt is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best manage change.” As such and as part of our mandate as APA, the 2020 APA Week to be held between 7th and 10th December 2020 will be themed TAKE ON TOMORROW; calling on the industry to action by embracing and developing new skills to go head on and tackle the “new normal” challenges.

To be run virtually, the event promises to bring you a rich experience of learning and inspiration, which you can enjoy from the comfort of wherever you are.

A key highlight will be the Young Creatives Challenge. As part of APA’s mandate to build and maintain high professional standards in the industry, the challenge will run in partnership with EABL and is aimed at facilitatating the rapid creation of fresh, innovative and engaging creative work within the brand and communication space in Kenya.

For those in practice and those about to join the industry, there is a lot to learn through our experts in marketing, media, digital/ tech, and creative industries.

You can’t build an adaptable organization without adaptable people-and individuals change only when they have to, or when they want to.” Gary Hamel

Let’s work together to drive change.
